

This interest, which stems from his doctoral thesis on the noxality of criminal slaves (a legal regime identical to that which was practised with slaves), has since 2006-2007 encompassed a double aspect: on the one hand, he introduces the teaching of Animal Law in Spain, which has been followed by an intense dedication to the training of professionals through the Master in Animal Law (on-site: 10 editions online: 7 editions), the training of PhD students in Animal Law and the creation of: a database on Animal Law.

This period marks a turning point in his intellectual and academic career, as it was the starting point of his renewed interest in the study of the legal position of animals in contemporary legal systems. The most important research stays have always been understood as a way of learning with other specialists and as a way of broadening one's interests. She was awarded the "Europa Forschungsstipendium" of the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung in Rome, which enabled her to work at the Deutsches Archeologisches Institut and at the Vatican Library in Rome and the Biblioteca Marucelliana in Florence. She spent a fruitful period of intensive training in ancient history and Latin epigraphy with Gèza Alföldy at the Institut für Alte Geschichte at the University of Heidelberg, where she regularly attended the Papyrology Seminar led by Dieter Hagedorn. Since 1985, he has regularly attended courses and seminars at the Leopold Wenger Institute of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, where he has always worked under the direction of Dieter Nörr, which has favoured the extension of his scientific interests to other fields of the ancient world, economics and sociology. A graduate and Doctor in Law from the University of Navarre with an Extraordinary Prize, her Romanist training was forged alongside Alvaro d'Ors, who supervised her doctoral thesis and with whom she began her studies in legal epigraphy.
